Langstone Bridge is an excellent mark if you fancy trying something a bit different from the usual beach fishing. The bridge features purpose built fishing platforms so you can set up without bothering walkers or cyclists.
This mark should be approached in a similar way to pier fishing - you will need a drop net in order to land anything of any size. Casting is as simple as dropping your bait over the side of the bridge. The species on offer are similar too; expect to catch bass in decent numbers as well as eels which are drawn to the structure.
The usual baits work well, and should be tailored to what you're targeting. Ragworm is perhaps the most productive bait and can even be dug here at low tide.
There is a public car park on the South (Hayling Island) side of the bridge - look for the entrance on the opposite side to the petrol garage.
